Perfection Until it Wasn't OR New Franchise Record?

Winning baseball is fun, no? The Rangers are 42-25, continuing to break records for Best Start in Franchise History.

On pace for better than 101 wins.

Ten straight series wins (Franchise Record). Before this series, remember they beat the old franchise record for home series winning streak.

2nd place in the AL West is Seattle at 6.5 back. Nobody else in the division is within single digits.

3 games up on everyone else in the League.

Only one team in all of baseball (Cubs) has a better record. Only one other team matches them (Nationals).

Colby Lewis has been so good this year. (HOW GOOD IS HE?!):

  • 6-0 record
  • 2.81 ERA with a WHIP of 1.011
  • Averaging 6.2 innings per start (tied for 3rd in the AL)
  • Rival team bloggers are blogging about him

We're over 40% of the way through the season. I think it's safe to start getting excited. Enjoy what we're watching. Rangers fans are getting to see a whole lot of new this year. I'm starting to think fans have a good chance of seeing something else new come October.
