Brandon Land is the founder of One Strike Away. Over the years, his love of sports, particularly baseball, has afforded him the opportunity to share thoughts and opinions on the greatest game ever played. The name of the site originated from what was the greatest -- and yet one of the greatest sources of heartbreak for Rangers fans -- moment in the franchise's history. F. Brandon Linthicum is a 34-year old high school teacher and baseball coach in Virginia. While attending Roanoke College, he played baseball there. When he was growing up, Nolan Ryan was his hero, the conduit to making him a fan of the Texas Rangers, and the reason he named his son Nolan. In addition to having a background in the newspaper business, he brings another unique voice to One Strike Away.

Cody Thrasher has been a huge baseball fan since he was a young kid. His love for the Texas Rangers started during the 2008 season which was also the start of the Josh Hamilton Era in Arlington. He follows the team from Oklahoma and tries to make it down to watch the team at least a couple times every season. He joined the One Strike Away team before the 2016 season and helps with the series previews and provides other random thoughts on occasion.

Thomas Backlund is the brains of the operation. He is the photographer in the light of day, but when no one else understands coding and programming, they turn to Thomas. He is a graduate of Angelo State University with a degree in computer science, and now spends his days as an information technology professional at USAA.
