Adrian Beltre strikes again. His 5 RBI were the difference on a night in which the defense wasn't up to standard, the baserunning wasn't crisp, and the Rangers grounded into 3 double plays.
Whatever the case, the Rangers will, at the very least, be at least a half game away from the Oakland A's after tonight, and at best a half game up in the division. When a team isn't playing its best baseball but manages to scratch out wins by relying on a few key players, those are the games that make a difference in winning the division at the end of the regular season. We can only hope Beltre's hot hitting continues.
