There was a time in which the Texas Rangers were criticized for letting C.J. Wilson walk away and sign with the Los Angeles Angels and signing Yu Darvish instead. Nights like tonight make the front office look really good for sticking to their guns.
Darvish was sensational in 7 innings of work, tying his career-high with 14 strikeouts. He walked no one and didn't give up a single run. 78 of his 111 pitches came in for strikes, and 66 were never put into play.
The Rangers are now on a four game winning streak and head to Oakland only 3.5 games down in the AL West. As bad as this team looked less than a week ago, they've put themselves right back into the thick of things. Sometimes baseball is too unpredicatable.
