4 straight. 19 of 23. A season-high 5 home runs in a game.

Texas, despite a rough second inning from Martin Perez, rode the long ball to yet another win tonight, a victory to the tune of 11-5. Among the most unlikely of heroes? Adam Rosales, who has shuffled back and forth between Oakland and Texas for the past month.

Predictably, Adrian Beltre has remained an offensive force. Ron Washington has embraced the idea of platooning Craig Gentry in left field as opposed to moving Martin around all over the outfield. Jeff Baker, also in a platoon situation, showed once again that he can be very dangerous against lefties.

Oakland also lost to Baltimore by a score of 9-7, giving Texas a 3.5 game lead in the AL West, their largest since May 27.

At the current pace, Texas is on track to win approximately 95 games. While it remains to be seen just how strong the ball club will finish, it's very encouraging to see wins against teams that the Rangers should beat. Long live the Texas Rangers.

Also, worth noting is that Ian Kinsler hit an inside-the-park home run. It was aided by the ball hiding along the left field wall, but fun to watch for Rangers fans nonetheless.
