This morning, ESPN has a piece up on MLB Future Power Rankings. The list is meant to take into account various aspects of each Major League organization, from Major League and minor league talent, finances, and the front office.
The Texas Rangers come in at 4th on the list, behind only Boston, St. Louis, and the LA Dodgers. Notably, Buster Olney seems to like the way in which the Rangers got younger at 2nd base while upgrading the 1st base position with Prince Fielder.
That the Rangers have the top ranking on the list of any team in the AL West speaks well of the organization, especially considering that the next closest is Oakland at 16th.
The piece is an ESPN Insider exclusive, so not everyone will be able to access it, but if you're a member, it's definitely worth a read.
