In today's opening game of a series against Seattle in Arlington, Colby Lewis will be taking the ball for the Rangers, while Roenis Elias will be on the mound for Seattle. Which begs the question: Can Prince Fielder get his first home run of the season tonight?
Elias, a rookie left-hander, comes in with an ERA of 2.70. However, his BABIP of .179 helps to explain why his xFIP is much higher than his ERA, sitting at 5.03.
Fielder, who has been victimized numerous times by the shift already, has a BABIP of .171 coming into today.
In other words, something has to give, and I won't be the least bit surprised if Prince Fielder manages to get his first 4-bagger of the season tonight.
What do you think? Will he get it done tonight?
