The Rangers are 9-7, Avoid Being Dallas Cowboys

Rangers 8, Mariners 6, and the Rangers won't have to worry about having the same 8-8 record as their NFL counterpart down the street at any point this season.

Tanner Scheppers had yet another poor outing, getting yanked during the 3rd inning after blowing the 4-0 lead he had been given. Somewhere, I'm sure Yu Darvish was cursing under his breath, wondering why the offense can't score runs for him.

In the end, Kevin Kouzmanoff stayed hot, Mitch Moreland had a solid day at the plate, Shin-Soo Choo got his first home run as a Ranger, and J.P. Arencibia being himself didn't end up mattering all that much when his groundouts allowed runs to score.

Next up, the Rangers host the Chicago White Sox for a weekend series.
