The Rangers are 22-24

Elvis Andrus struck first with a 2-run homer in the 1st inning, and the Rangers never trailed, which is usually a good recipe for success.

Nick Tepesch was sharp and, although victimized a bit by poor defense in center field by Michael Choice, only gave up 5 hits and 3 earned runs in 6.1 innings.

Next up, the Rangers go to Detroit, where it remains to be seen whether or not Prince Fielder will rejoin the team at any point during the trip. Leonys Martin's stiff neck was apparently good enough to allow him to play center field in the bottom of the 9th, with the hope being that another day will provide him an opportunity to get back into the lineup.

It'd be fantastic if the Rangers could find a way to get back above .500 on the upcoming road trip.
