Yesterday, it was reported that Mitch Moreland would likely miss the remainder of the season to undergo ankle reconstruction surgery. Today, we're finding out that the initial report may have only been partly true.
Moreland is looking into still having surgery, but perhaps a much less invasive procedure that would get him back onto the field in 3-4 weeks as opposed to 3 months.
If this ends up being true, and I have no reason to doubt the normal beat writers on Twitter, it would prove significant, maybe not from a results standpoint, but perhaps a "we've got bodies to put on the field" standpoint. For once, some Rangers news that isn't entirely filled with doom and gloom.
