The Rangers starting rotation has an ERA of 2.85 and a WHIP below 1 so far this month. Shin-Soo Choo is batting .345 with an OPS of 1.092 since May 1st and hit the first back-to-back lead off home runs since Ian Kinsler did it in the first two games of 2011. Prince Fielder's May is just as hot as his April, but now with more power and only a 10.3% strikeout rate, down from an already impressive 12.1% to start the year. When reinforcements arrive in the form of Derek Holland, Martin Perez, and possibly Matt Harrison, this team might only be a power-hitting outfielder and a performing shortstop away from contention. Does Josh Hamilton have anything left? Will the Rangers suddenly look like buyers at the trade deadline? Will Batman learn where Joker has Robin tied up in time? Stay tuned.
