Brandon Land is the founder of One Strike Away. Over the years, his love of sports, particularly baseball, has afforded him the opportunity to share thoughts and opinions on the greatest game ever played. The name of the site originated from what was the greatest -- and yet one of the greatest sources of heartbreak for Rangers fans -- moment in the franchise's history. F. Brandon Linthicum is a high school teacher in Virginia. While attending Roanoke College, he played baseball there. When he was growing up, Nolan Ryan was his hero, the conduit to making him a fan of the Texas Rangers, and the reason he named his son Nolan. In addition to having a background in the newspaper business, he brings another unique voice to One Strike Away.
