Odor Sprains Shoulder

After Rougned Odor hit a single to center field in the bottom of the 5th inning today, Justin Masterson attempted a pickoff throw. As Odor slid back to 1st, his right hand caught in the dirt, and he immediately crumpled over while holding his right shoulder.

Initially, Carlos Santana wasn't aware that Odor hadn't made it back to the base, as Masterson's throw was a bit off and pulled Santana off of the bag going toward the 1st base dugout. As Odor was still crumpled over, he was able to walk over and tag him, at which point Ron Washington and the trainers immediately came out to get him.

Officially, the injury is being called a shoulder sprain, and he is day-to-day, although it won't surprise me if it ends up being a bit worse than that. In case you're not keeping track at home, within a 4-5 hour span, the Rangers lost their entire backup rotation to the right side of the infield.

You couldn't make this up if you wanted to.
